The Palace Manila is the hottest place in Bonifacio Glocal City. It is owned by a group of friends who share the same ideals. You may have heard of the famous club,Valkyrie which is one of the go-to party place inside The Palace Manila.

Cafe Naya is one of the newest restaurant to open at The Palace Manila. It has a Mediterranean feel which will make you think of rainforests, sea and summer. Cafe Naya is one of the brilliant brainchild of Erwan Huesaff and Chef Mikko Reyes. Remember how you love Hungry Hound and Niner Ichi Nana? You’ll also get to love the lighter and vibrant Cafe Naya.

Their interiors are bright with a lot of green which reminds you of a cafe/nook instead of a restaurant inside a party lounge vicinity.

I was invited to their media event to introducing the place to the public. They just opened a month ago and I was lucky (again!) that I’ll meet Erwan and Chef Mikko.

Cafe Naya offers a coastal cuisine that will remind you of the pretty coast of Italy, France and Spain. As of the moment, their menu is diverse and includes japanese rolls as well. But they are planning of adding up more items depending on the items their patrons loved.

Spicy Tako and Scallop Roll (Php455)
Tuna Crudo (Php385)

For starters, we were served with 5 appetizer dishes namely: Spicy Tako and Scallop Roll, Tuna Crudo, Warm Camembert, fried oysters and Uni & Ricotta. I don’t normally like uni but the Uni and Ricotta combination topped on soft brioche was interestingly delish.

Uni and Ricotta (Php295)

Warm Camembert (Php395)

Fried Oysters (Php324)

I’m amazed that Erwan and Chef Mikko always whips up a nice appetizer menu. I enjoyed munching on these in preparation for the main course.

Grilled Chicken Flatbread (Php297)

Pulled Duck Confit (Php498)
For their main dishes, we were served with a combination of their meat, poulty and fish dishes. All were equally delectable. But if I were to pick my favorite, it’ll be a tie between the Pulled Duck Confit and 24 hour shortribs.

24 hour Shortribs (Php1198)
Blue Marlin (Php476)

Cafe Naya’s dessert selection is limited to three items, Chocolate Mousse, Yoghurt Panna Cotta and Chocnut pot de Creme. We were served their all time favorite, Yoghurt Panna Cotta. It was a fusion of tart and semi sweet flavors which is an interesting mix. An addition of salty flavor would make this dessert awesome, like a salted caramel yoghurt panna cotta. I know it’s weird burst of flavors but I kinda liked the idea. 🙂

Yoghurt Panna Cotta (Php249)

Kudos to Chef Mikko and Erwan for introducing another great place to dine. I know that selecting a place to dine is getting harder as these great restaurants open. But at the same time it is a compelling experience for a foodie for our palate tend to open up to these interesting intercontinental dishes.

Cafe Naya is open until wee hours in the morning, perfect place for recovery food before driving or heading home. They have a good midnight menu, hearty enough to warm up your tummies from partying all night at The Palace.

Where’s your favorite place to hang out and party?
